# Silk wall murals: preparing your image for printing

Any image can be printed on silk texture from a high-quality file. Looking good on a phone and working well across a large wall are different checks. Assess both the file and the artwork before printing begins.

## Send the original image

A file sent as an ordinary messenger photo may differ from the original in size and quality. Where possible, send it as a document or share access to the source. A catalogue screenshot helps discuss an idea but does not replace the production file.

## Inspect important details close up

Faces, fine branches, small lettering and architectural lines deserve particular attention. Ask to see a detail at the intended print scale. One universal pixel count cannot describe the result without the wall dimensions and viewing distance.

## Approve the edge crop

When image proportions change, parts of the scene may fall outside the edges. Mark the details to preserve and the furniture positions. Judge silk’s subtle sheen on a real sample, separately from the composition approval on a screen.

## Confirm the final version

Premium quality, a vandal-resistant surface and UV printing. We print seamless murals up to 5 m wide. Material rolls are 50 m long; mural dimensions and cropping are agreed for the wall.

## Check before ordering

- The original file instead of a screenshot
- A large-scale detail of key elements
- Approved crop and measurements

## Key takeaway

Source quality and thoughtful cropping matter regardless of silk’s decorative sheen.
