Liner in photographs and in person: comparing samples

The liner page contains two real photographs: a close-up and an unfolded view. They answer different questions. One shows the surface detail, while the other reveals a larger area.

Use the close-up to examine relief

Look at the lines and small highlights. Do not automatically apply the impression of a magnified detail to the whole room: the viewing distance will be different. Compare it with the wider material photograph.

02 /

Use the unfolded view for an overall impression

Notice the surface rhythm and changes in light across the area. Camera angle affects appearance, so two pictures may look different. This is a reason to view the real material under suitable lighting.

Use the mockup for composition

An example design or illustration does not replace a material sample. A mockup checks cropping and furniture positions; texture is assessed separately. Send your wall photo and original image rather than choosing by another room’s proportions.

Record specifications separately
