Wall murals up to 5 m wide: measuring for matte material

Matte material has a maximum print width of 5 m. This is neither a universal finished size nor a promise that every wall can be covered without a join. First establish the wall geometry and image orientation.

Record width and height separately

Measure in several places, including both edges and the centre. Label every measurement and its unit. Mark openings, projections and recesses separately. Tell us if further levelling is planned, as dimensions may change.

Print width is not roll length

The print width limits one dimension of the sheet in its working orientation. A 50 m roll is production stock, not an automatically available order length. We agree the image orientation and layout separately.

Identify the focal subject

Add 5 cm to wall height and 5 cm to wall width for trimming. For example, a 300 × 250 cm wall needs 305 × 255 cm including allowance. Send the original measurements too; we will confirm the artwork before printing.

Approve the artwork before printing

Check the image, dimensions, furniture positions and any joins in a single final mockup. Our matte material uses paper backing and UV printing. Discuss installation and surface preparation alongside the format, before production.

Premium quality, a vandal-resistant surface and UV printing. We print seamless murals up to 5 m wide. Material rolls are 50 m long; mural dimensions and cropping are agreed for the wall.

Check before ordering

  • Width and height at several points
  • A wall photo showing openings and recesses
  • The original file and approved artwork
